From May 1997 to October 2012, 34 consecutive patients with oligo-recurrent pulmonary metastases from CRC were treated with CIRT. All treatment-related complications were self-limited, without any grade 3-5 toxicity. Conclusions: CIRT is one of the most effective nonsurgical treatments for colorectal lung metastases, which are relatively resistant to stereotactic body radiotherapy.

(CLSI) During our study in total 60951 urine specimen were cultured in our laboratory. Of 60951 urine cultures, 2676 (4.3%) were obtained from children under 12 years old. A total of 322 positive urine cultures were yielded. E.coli with 137 (42.54%) isolates was the predominant organisms. The second common organism was K.pneumoniae with 72(22.36) isolates. Among gram-

positive organisms entrococci with 38 (11.80) isolate was the predominant organisms. E. coli SCH 900776 was found to be most sensitive to amikacin, nitrofurantoin,ofloxacin,ciprofloxacin and least sensitive to most commonly used drugs like ampicillin,cefazoline, nalidixic acid, Co-trimoxazole. Drug resistance among K.pneumoniae isolates were prevalent in comparison E.coli isolates. Vancomycin resistance among enterococci isolates was 7.4%. The HbA1c analysis was performed using high-pressure liquid chromatography. The statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 5. Indications for DSAEK were advanced pseudophakic bullous keratopathy with superficial and deep corneal vascularization and PD0325901 clinical trial failed corneal grafts. Patients were treated by scraping the corneal epithelium and lightly coagulating the corneal superficial stromal NV and the feeding vessels in the sclera, with a subconjunctival bevacizumab injection at the end of

surgery. Subconjunctival and perilimbal bevacizumab dose of 2.5 mg/0.1 mL/affected quadrant was injected at the site of NV in each patient at the end of surgery. One or 2 injections were applied. At each visit, a full eye examination with photographic documentation was performed. Mean follow-up period was 32 (24-36) months.\n\nRESULTS. Eight eyes of 8 patients with high-risk corneal transplantation and corneal NV were included in this noncomparative interventional case series. The original corneal NV disappeared in all patients immediately after surgery. No patient in the series had recurrent corneal NV or rejection during at least 24 months of follow-up.\n\nCONCLUSIONS. The combination of scraping, coagulating, and bevacizumab injection in DSAEK is an effective method to treat corneal NV in corneal transplantation for bullous keratopathy.”
